2019 EVENT – AUGUST 8TH to 10TH

 ITINERARY for SPONSORS

Thursday, August 8th - Celebrity Meet & Greet at Boston Pizza starting at 6:30pm

  • This is a casual event where we introduce each of the Celebrities to our group of Sponsors and Participants in the Golf Tournament.
  • Appetizers, drinks and a full meal will be provided throughout the evening.
  • At 8:30pm, we begin our Celebrity Auction hosted by Steve Darling. Each of the 35 teams entered into the tournament are required to purchase a Celebrity to make up their group of five for the Friday Par 3 and Saturday Golf Tournament.
  • Celebrities are auctioned to the highest bidder with all proceeds going to Charity. This event is a lot of fun and we encourage you to interact with the Celebrities and have fun with the bidding.

Friday, August 9th - Helicopter Rides (Sponsored by Canadian Helicopters) for all celebrities and the Title Sponsors who wish to have a tour of the Mountains, Glacier and surrounding area.

  • 12:00 Noon - Nine Hole Par 3 Tournament at the Smithers Golf Club.
  • 6:30 pm - Chipping Contest (Sponsored by Delwisch Design) hosted by Todd Talbot. Introductions of our Celebrities, Live Music and a fun contest where each team provides one representative to participate in the event with the remaining teammates cheering them on.
  • Top five to finals with prizes awarded at conclusion.
  • Dinner and Drinks provided at the Golf Course
  • Live music and social gathering to conclude the evening

Saturday, August 10th

  • 9:00 am - Tournament Group Photo
  • 9:15 am - Rules review
  • 9:30 am - Shotgun start – Best Ball Format 35 teams of golfers to participate
  • All Club Carts assigned to Celebrities.
  • Various events taking place around the course
  • Traditional Hole #14 Gazebo Party at the end of the round - Live Music, Bar-B-Que and drinks at the #14 Tee, Every group to gather at the 14th Tee when they have completed their round turn in their scorecard.
  • 5:30 pm - All golfers return to Club House
  • 6:00 pm - Awarding of Prizes
  • 7:00 pm - Banquet in the Clubhouse
  • Live Auction hosted by Steve Darling - This is our major fundraising event which includes unique items or experiences that we organize such as Trips, memorabilia, sporting events etc.
  • This year we have:
  •  Trip to New York City with tickets to see Saturday Night Live
  •  Trip to Nashville to see a Titans game and a Predators game
  •  Trip to Philadelphia to see Flyers vs Leafs and Eagles vs Bears with two rounds of golf at Trump National and Dupont
  •  A Luxury Fishing Trip on Vancouver Island
  •  Air Canada Flights to anywhere in the world
  •  Box Suite at a Canucks Game
  •  Signed NHL jerseys
  •  Many more incredible items.

All proceeds from this auction go directly to the Charity. The evening wraps up with a social gathering after the auction closes.
