Garret Stroshein is a former professional hockey player hailing from Alberta. Measuring up at a whopping 6’7” and 245 lbs, he primarily filled the role as an Enforcer. Signed as a free agent by Washington, July 14, 2003, he played in the National Hockey League for the Washington Capitals during the 2003–04 NHL season, and spent another 4 seasons in the AHL. He was signed as a free agent by the Boston Bruins in August of 2005.

Garret, a Calgary City Firefighter, has competed in long drive competitions throughout North America on the road to the World Long Drive Championships. He is also a regular participant in Charity Golf Tournaments donating his time to help raise money for groups such as the Bulkley Valley HealthCare and Hospital Foundation.
