Brad Layzell is a certified sleep and stress management coach and managing partner of PX3, a biomedical engineering firm specializing in improving sleep health and performance outcomes. Born in Beaconsfield, Quebec, Layzell began his hockey career playing Junior Hockey with the Kanata Valley Lasers. He then spent four years at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) on a Division I hockey scholarship.

While at RPI, the Montreal Canadiens drafted the 6’3” defenseman in the 5th round, 100th overall, in the 1991 NHL Entry Draft. During the 1994-95 season, Layzell started his professional hockey career with the Wheeling Nailers of the ECHL. Over the next two seasons, he played for seven teams in the AHL and IHL. He was also a member of the 1996 Canadian National Team, where he played 53 games, scored 5 goals, and added 20 assists for a total of 25 points.

Layzell is the founder of a multisport youth hockey development program at the Canadian Olympic Park. This program empowers boys, girls, and sledge hockey athletes aged 4-18 with the skills, tools, and training necessary to become stronger and safer athletes.

Brad Layzell is happily married with four children. His dedication to both his professional career and his family showcases his commitment to excellence and well-being in all aspects of life.
