Caitlin Nash is one of Canada’s most promising luge athletes, known for her historic breakthroughs in doubles and her rapid rise in women’s singles. Born and raised in Whistler, B.C., Nash discovered luge at age seven while watching training runs during the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in her hometown. A year later, she attended a recruitment camp at the Whistler Sliding Centre—one run down the track was all it took to hook her for life.
Progressing through B.C.’s provincial pathway, Nash joined Canada’s NextGen team in 2018, quickly establishing herself as a standout in both singles and doubles. Alongside partner Natalie Corless, she won the Youth Olympic silver medal in 2020 and made history in 2019 as part of the first women’s doubles team ever to compete at a senior World Cup, racing against men on their home track in Whistler.
The duo added another milestone in 2022, capturing World Cup bronze in Park City—Canada’s first women’s doubles medal. After Corless retired, Nash shifted her focus fully to singles, where she has continued to climb the international rankings and now stands as Canada’s top female luger.
